Found a screw or a nail?
Let's see if we can repair it!

We can repair most punctures so long as they meet the following criteria (Please note we will need to see the tyre to say for sure):

  • Puncture location must be within specific tread area (see below to work out)
  • Puncture must not be on the sidewall
  • Tyre structure must still be in good condition
  • Puncture must not be within 75mm of another puncture repair
  • Tyre can not be a ROF (Run Flat Type)*
  • Size of hole must be no greater than 6mm & angle no less than 60 degrree

Minor repairs carried out only allowed between a specific area of the central portion of a tyre's tread. Repairs outside this area are not allowed and the tyre must be replaced.

The Repairable section for your tyre (T) is 0mm

How we repair your tyre
The Tyre Repair Process

Check if repair is possible
The first step involves using a gauge to check if the tyre can be repaired. If your puncture is too close to the sidewall of the tyre a replacement may be needed instead.
Prepare & Insert patch plug
We carefully locate the center of the puncture and drill a hole of precise diameter using a specialised drill bit for insertion of the patch plug. We then apply a special thermosetting compound around the affected area to ensure the repair patch adheres to the inside of the tyre. Finally we insert a patch of the correct size to cover and plug the puncture, this patch sets and becomes part of the rubber of the tyre.
Test & Rebalance
After the repair has been completed, we will re-balance your wheel, and test the repair thoroughly by pressurising the tyre to it's maximum pressure and performing a leak test.

Tyre Repair FAQ

Why can't runflats be repaired?
Runflat tyres also known as ROF, are tyres designed with sufficient internal rigidity and stiffness that they can be driven on (albeit at reduced speed and limited distance) with little or no air pressure. Unfortunately a repair can compromise this ability and prevent the runflat from doing it's job properly. It is also not recommended by most ROF tyre manufacturers. For the moment we are unable to repair runflat tyres, apologies.
How long does a tyre repair take?
Most tyre repairs take between 30 - 45 minutes depending on factors such as the size of the tyre and the temperature.
How long will my repair last?
Tyre repairs should last the remaining lifetime of the tyre, and the tyre will be retain it's original speed and load ratings.
